More airlines embracing furry travelers - CNN.com: "Blame America's pet obsession, but in recent years, more members of the airline industry are embracing dogs and cats on board. Midwest Airlines may be an extreme example, letting select dogs sit in the same seats as humans, but other airlines are relaxing their pet policies by letting smaller cats and dogs come into the cabin area."
Ok, first I want to say that pets are great. But this is going a bit too far. People with severe allergies, to dogs and cats, will suffer because of this. Either they will not be able to travel by plane or they will be forced to be miserable because of it. In an environment where the air is constantly be recycled, someone with allergies has a tough enough time already. This will make it worse. From personal experience, my allergies always flair up when I fly and that's without pets in the cabin.
Besides the allergy issues, multiple pets on a single flight seems like a disaster just waiting to happen. What if an animal get aggressive? What if it bites someone or another animal? Just seems like a very bad idea.
On a similar note, those of you who liberally splash on the cologne or doose yourself in perfume before going on a flight, go easy on it. Not everyone wants to smell you and some of actually have a sensitivity to such things. In my case, it can actually lead to an asthma attack. When I'm anywhere else in public, I can walk away to fresh air. In a plane, no so much.
